Jamie Lynn Spears Baby Mystery: Is the Daddy Casey Aldridge?

Jamie Lynn Spears shocked the celebrity world last week when she went to OK! Magazine and divulged that she was pregnant and the baby daddy was some guy named Casey Aldridge. After the initial buzz and shock, one week later you can expect all of the other weekly magazines to play catch up.

Star Magazine uses the cover this week and they promise to deliver on Britney Spears little sister. They have a photo of Casey and Jamie Lynn and the cover screams "Jamie Lynn's Big Lies, Is Casey Really the Daddy?"

Well this should get very interesting. Jamie Lynn has pretty much disappeared from the view of the spotlight since her declaration to OK! Last week. But she has been topic one on the conversation, not only in the celeb world, but in the real world as well.

Teen pregnancy now has a face and it is Jamie Lynn Spears. As she is a television star from Zoey 101 on Nickelodeon she will have a brutal spotlight on her throughout the pregnancy. And apparently that will equal trying to guess if Casey is really the father of the child.

Britney Spears depression will lead to suicide

According to a Beverly Hills analyst and addiction expert, Britney Spears is living in a “bubble of illusion” which could eventually end in her committing suicide. Marty Brenner tells the New York Post that Spears is definitely battling depression and needs to get help before its too late. Although Brenner has not treated the 26-year-old pop star, he says her behavior shows she maybe bipolar.

“She’s losing it now, and she’s going to eventually lose it altogether if she doesn’t get the help she needs,” says Brenner. “She’s exhibiting bipolar signs and she’s clearly fighting depression.”

Brenner also says Spears’ bizarre trips around Los Angeles shows that she demanding more attention since her 16-year-old sister Jamie Lynn Spears announced she was pregnant. “Britney now needs to cry out for even more attention,” he says.

“She has a major problem,” Brenner added. “She appears to be crazy. She is disconnected from life. Look how she changes outfits all day…she’s saying, ‘I don’t like who I am right now, maybe I can change it.”

Jamie Lynn Spears Upsets Big Sister

Britney Spears is reportedly furious with her little sister Jamie-Lynn and the two are now estranged.

The 16-year-old teen is pregnant and Britney is angry because she learned the news from the tabloid press like everyone else.

Not only was the Britney one the last to know, K-Fed is even saying he knew all about it before Brit did.

A family insider was quoted by Page Six as saying: "Britney felt betrayed and left out when Jamie Lyn did not come to her first."

Page Six reports: Though Britney, 26, and Jamie Lynn, 16, have since spoken about the pregnancy; their conversations have been "clinical" and awkward. "Their relationship is estranged," says the source. "Jamie Lynn does not recognize Britney as the sister she grew up with, so she has gone to her friends, her boyfriend and her mom when she needs someone."

"It is mostly by Britney's choice," says the insider. "She is so self-absorbed in her own life that she has forgotten what is important in life, like her family."

Jamie Lyn Spears' Baby Daddy Reportedly Ready to Settle Down

According to the New York Post, 19-year-old Casey Aldridge wants to marry Britney Spears' 16-year-old-sister, who revealed this week that she's pregnant. And she may be ready to commit as well.
"Jamie Lyn and Casey want to get married. I know Casey does, and he says she does, too," Aldridge's uncle, the Rev. Odus Jackson, told the Post. "He's going this weekend to see his mother for the first time since the news broke publicly."

Aldridge has been elusive since news of Spears' pregnancy broke, avoiding the media attention that's been showered on his girlfriend and her older sister for years.

"I don't think they are ready yet to sit down and talk to the media," Jackson told The Associated Press. "They haven't gotten their heads together yet."

According to Jackson, Aldridge briefly attended a junior college in Mississippi but now works for a pipe-laying company in Baton Rouge, La. He enjoys deer hunting and dirt-bike riding.

That may make him seem like a stark contrast to Spears, star of the Nickelodeon series "Zoey 101" and a tween idol. But Aldridge's uncle insists the Hollywood spotlight and speculation about their status isn't likely to break up their relationship.
"I think they are going to try to stay together," he told the AP. "They certainly don't want to part."

Britney Spears Baby Shops For Jamie Lynn

Sure, her sister Jamie Lynn may only be a couple months along in her pregnancy, but Britney Spears is already gearing up for a huge baby shower.

The “Piece of Me” singer was spotted at a souvenir shop in Hollywood, California last night, picking up some novelty baby items for her niece-to-be.

In addition, it has been reported that Brit dropped a mere $500 on a gift basket for Jamie Lynn, upon hearing the news that she’s expecting. She hooked up with celebrity baby emporium Petit Tresor for the order.

The basket was said to include a tank top with the phrase “Hot Mama 2 B” written on it, as well as a blanket, a stuffed elephant, and some socks and shoes. The attached note said, “Dear J.L., We love you! Brit, Sean, and Jayden.”

Jamie Lynn Not Getting Married

People has an interview with baby daddy Casey Aldridge's uncle Odus Jackson, a Baptist minister, that seems to shed a whole lotta light on these two crazy kids and what they might or might not do next.

He says: "I hope they will stick it out and get married for the child's sake and their sake...But if they're not in love and it was just a fantasy, they don't need to make the same mistake twice."
Which means: This relationship is dunzo. They probably haven't even talked in weeks.

He says: "He was a typical country boy growing up. He's never given the family a whole lot of problems—no more than most teenagers."
Which means: We're familiar with cow tipping. Impregnating a starlet, not so much.

He says: "To me, personally, when he was allowed to go out to California part of his senior year...you know when you put boy and girl together, it don't work."
Which means: Blame it on Hollywood. Casey would never have knocked up a young girl in rural Gloster, Mississippi.

Jamie Lynn signs $1m baby pic deal

Jamie Lynn Spears has reportedly signed a $1 million magazine deal for exclusive pictures of her newborn baby.

The 16-year-old younger sister of singer Britney, who is expecting her first child with her boyfriend Casey Aldridge, has agreed to pose with the baby in a photo shoot for America's OK! magazine.

A family insider told gossip website TMZ.com: "Jamie's mum Lynne contacted OK! personally after they ran the story on Britney's meltdown while posing for a photo shoot with them. She thanked them for handling it so well and stayed in touch with the magazine.

"She called them this week when she learned the news of Jamie's pregnancy was about to break. She asked them to keep Britney out of it, because this is about Jamie Lynn. She trusted them to do it in a way that would be sympathetic to her daughter.

"Lynne and Jamie didn't want money, but they have signed up for a $1 million photo shoot when the child is born."

The source also alleges Jamie Lynn's pregnancy is further along than the 12 weeks the actress is claiming.

The insider said: "Expect a spring baby."

THE boyfriend of 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears could face statutory rape charges carrying a maximum penalty of 10 years in jail.

If 19-year-old Casey Aldridge really is the father and the baby was conceived in Spears' home state of Louisiana, the act could technically be considered "felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile" - defined as "sexual intercourse with consent between someone age 19 or older and someone between age 12 and 17".

Fox News reports that in Louisiana a person can only legally consent to sex at age 17. If aged 15 or 16, the other person involved must be no more than two years older for the act to be considered legal.

Yet Aldridge wouldn’t fare much better if the act happened in California, where Spears lives while on the set of her TV show Zoey 101.

"It states clearly in the Californian Penal Code that any person who engages in an act of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor (under 18) who is not more than three years older or three years younger than the perpetrator, is guilty of a misdemeanour and faces up to one year in a county jail," criminal defence attorney Jim Hammer said.

“But if Aldridge is actually more than three years older he could be up for a felony, which carries a maximum three years in prison.”

But lawyer Christopher Darden says charges are unlikely.

“The father of the child may have committed a criminal offence or misdemeanour by having unlawful sex with a minor,” he said. “But unless the complaint is filed from the minor’s parent, it is unlikely that this will be taken further.”

Jamie Lyne pregnancy puts Spears mother in uncomfortable spotlight

As Britney Spears was shaving her head, popping in and out of drug rehab, flashing her nether regions and otherwise shocking us over the past year, fresh-faced tween star Jamie Lynn was the scandal-free Spears sister.

Now she's a pregnant 16-year-old. And the question everyone's asking is: Where the heck was Mom?

We all know it's often not fair to blame a parent for a child's wayward ways. But Jamie Lynn's predicament, piled on top of Britney's woes, certainly made it seem as if a critical mass of evidence was gathering against Lynne Spears' parenting skills. (Maybe that's why her publisher announced that her book - about being a mom, no less, and due on Mother's Day - was on indefinite hold.)

Across the web, the gloves were off Wednesday, if they'd ever been on.

"Is Lynne Spears an even worse mother than Britney?" asked celebrity editor Bonnie Fuller on The Huffington Post. She excoriated her for apparently never having had "the talk" with her daughters: the talk about birth control, and the dangers of unprotected sex. (Jamie Lynn, the star of Nickelodeon's "Zoey 101," told OK! magazine that she was 12 weeks pregnant and the father was 19-year-old boyfriend Casey Aldridge.)

Even worse than an apparent lack of parental guidance, for many, was the possibility that the Spears family stood to profit financially from the pregnancy story.

"The sad thing is that you now have a second daughter with a career built on scandal, and a mother who is leading the charge," said Janice Min, veteran celebrity-watcher and editor of US Weekly.

To be sure, Lynne Spears isn't the only parent in the entertainment industry to be accused of imbuing less-than-stellar values in her children. Britney's occasional partying buddies, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, and their families have undergone similar scrutiny.

But the case of the Spears family is an extreme one. "To have a woman preparing to write a book about how to raise daughters when her own two daughters are imploding reeks of incredible denial and a lack of self-awareness," Min said.

For one parenting expert, it comes down to parents - and many of us non-Hollywood types are guilty in degrees of this - wanting to be their kids' friends.

"This is such a strong case for why you should be a parent and not a friend," said Janet Chan, editor-in-chief of Parenting magazine. "A friend can teach your kid to make farting noises. A parent makes the rules, sets a role model.

"I'm more concerned about why she didn't give her daughters talks on self-confidence and appreciating your own worth and saying no," Chan says. "This isn't an issue an issue of condoms. It's an issue of self-esteem. And that starts in infancy."

Jamie Lyn Spears and Casey Aldridge split?

The state of Jamie Lyn Spears’ relationship with the father of her unborn baby was yesterday shrouded in mystery.

While one US report claimed the teenagers want to get married, another said they had broken up.

And a website, which claims to be the MySpace page of dad-to-be Casey Aldridge, carried the message “Me and Jamie are over”.

Jamie Lynn, 16, and 18-year-old Casey were thrust into the spotlight earlier this week when the actress revealed she was pregnant.

The Zoe 101 star, together with her mother Lynne Spears, sat down with OK magazine and told the world she was 12 weeks along and that Casey was the father.

The news came as a shock to tabloid magazines and entertainment shows, who had not realised the youngsters were in a serious relationship.

Recently Jamie Lynn told the Associated Press she did not have a serious boyfriend and was keeping her “options open”.
But yesterday (Wednesday) a source close to the Spears family told US entertainment show Access Hollywood that Jamie Lynn and Casey were keen to get married.

The source said the teenagers “want to get married really bad”, but their parents were trying to discourage them because they thought they were too young.

The source told Access Hollywood that Jamie Lynn still had the mind of a teenager, which is why her Mum and Dad want her to wait. “She doesn’t understand the ramifications,” the source said. “She’s just a child with not a lick of sense.

“There’s no reasoning with her. She’s not thinking 10 years down the road, not even two years down the road.”

But despite reports of marriage, one US magazine claimed Jamie Lynn and Casey are in fact no longer seeing one another. “Jamie Lynn and Casey are not together,” a Spears family insider told Life and Style magazine.

“They’ve broken up numerous times, but he was her first and she kept taking him back.

“They’re not dating now. He’s really got nothing to offer this baby. He’s a kid himself. They have no plans to get married.

“At this point, Jamie Lynn has asked her mom - and not Casey - to be in the delivery room with her.”

A rep for Jamie Lynn was not immediately available for comment.
